POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner is, as an employee of Valley Health System. The scope of practice of any setting is detailed in the practice agreement/practice protocol written for each specific practice site and signed by the NP and the Supervising Physician.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of West Virginia required.
· Certified as Nurse Practitioner required (specialty dependent upon site/program).
· Licensed to practice as Nurse Practitioner in the State of West Virginia required.
· Licensed to prescribe medication in the State of West Virginia.
· Computer skills. (i.e., software applications for documentation, data collection, and outcome measurement).
· Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development.
· Competent to provide assessment, care and treatment appropriate to the age group of patients served.
· Must successfully complete orientation examinations and competencies, if applicable, within three months of hire.
· Area of specialty certification preferred.
· Criminal Background checks include:
