Hampshire Memorial Hospital

In 2008, Hampshire Memorial Hospital became the first West Virginia hospital to join Valley Health. Hampshire prides itself on a history of giving the residents of Hampshire County and the surrounding areas access to high-quality healthcare services close to home, and through affiliation with Valley Health we are able to expand our scope of services by being a part of the region’s strongest healthcare network. Hampshire is a certified Critical Access Hospital with 14 med-surg beds, 30 long-term care beds and a busy 24/7 emergency department. We also operate a top-quality Rural Healthcare Clinic full time on site. In addition, Hampshire provides rehabilitation and wellness services at our recently-opened modern and inviting Hampshire Wellness & Fitness Center.

Nursing is very excited about our very beautiful replacement hospital in Romney, which opened in 2011. We consider our hospital to be the newest treasure in West Virginia’s oldest county!
